Myriad Editions is an independent publishing house based in Brighton, UK. From 2005, their books and atlases have been printed on paper produced from sustainable sources and, wherever possible, on paper accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). .

Probably the most significant contribution is in sourcing of paper, board and packaging. Originally devised by Michael Kidron and Ronald Segal, it was widely hailed as revolutionary in both form and content, marking a radical departure from conventional cartography.

These include a miniAtlas series on global development for the World Bank and a series of atlases on health issues for the World Health Organization and the American Cancer Society. In 2006, Myriad started building a small and diverse list of fiction and graphic non-fiction, much of which shares themes and political sensibilities with the atlases. Myriad can now expand its work with creative writing courses and writers from Brighton and beyond, nurturing local writers and showcasing original, home-grown talent. Myriad is committed to policies and practices that protect the environment.

Founded as a packager in 1993, it quickly won international acclaim for its award-winning State of the World atlas series and remains committed to mapping the most pressing issues facing the world today. Myriad s flagship is The State of the World Atlas.
